PTA General Meetings

Public PTA meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month from September to May, except for December. Most meetings are held in the school library, include light refreshments, and childcare is provided free of charge for potty-trained children age 4 and older.

    • Teachers and students did an incredible job bouncing back after the ransomware speedbump.  Instruction is back up and running.
    • Device swaps for Windows devices (Probooks and Revolves) happening this week and next at Dulaney High.  Details and schedule can be found on bcps.org website.
    • Currently there is no internet access in the building.  This has reduced our Office Hours along with the uptick in COVID cases.  Someone is in the office daily from 8:30-9:30.  Please call ahead if you need to pick up or drop off something at school. We will make arrangements outside of that window if possible.
    • The Messenger call out system at the school level is still down.
    • Parents can access grade reports for the first quarter through their child's Schoology access.  We are awaiting the release of first quarter report cards.
    • We will have a mini Spirit Week next week that includes House Day on Tuesday. Details will be sent home The virtue of the month for January will be Gratitude.

    • Race for Education - While many students and families participated in this year's virtual Race for Education, not every student was able to get out and run in November.  Unfortunately the event only raised about $2,500 of the $5,000 goal.
    • Other events - I am looking into new virtual events for families to participate in over the winter.  With the number of COVID cases increasing we want to offer families fun activities they can do at home or socially distanced outside.  One of these is the Ultimate Holiday Hunt.  Families can drive or walk around the neighborhood looking for holiday decorations and lights.  Students can earn house points for submissions.
    • Charm City Run fundraiser - We had very low turnout but Charm City Run will generously be donating $100 to the PTA.
    • Restaurant fundraisers - They will continue through the winter, every Wednesday at Tutti Frutti, the 3rd Thursday of the month at Sweet Frog and others sprinkled in when each month.
    • Health Safety and Wellness - This Friday is Wellness Night - Baking with Mrs. Cibor as well as the debut of our cookie cookbook.  Wellness Nights will continue monthly for the remainder of the school year for students.  In January we will begin hosting Parent University workshops for parents.
