    • We had a great start to the school year!!!! We currently have 438 students enrolled.  All classroom positions are filled.
    • A huge thank you to the Curran/DeLeon family for donating landscaping services once again to beautify our grounds.
    • We want to thank our community partnerships including Grace Fellowship Church and Timonium United Methodist.  They sent school supplies once again for our bluebirds to start the year.  They will also be partnering with us to supply families in need with weekend food backpacks.
    • Pot Spring is once again the recipient of generous donations from the Subaru Adopt a Classroom program.  In addition to generous donations of classroom supplies for each grade level, Subaru of Hunt Valley will drop off school supplies for our students to start the year.  We are so fortunate to have such supportive community partners.
    • Students in grades K-5 are currently participating in STAR testing for Reading and Math this year.  The test is given three times a year and replaces MAP testing.
    • Improving student attendance is an initiative once again at Pot Spring and across Baltimore County.  We want students here every day to take advantage of every opportunity for learning.  We will be sending home monthly resources through the newsletter to support student attendance.
    • We have two Parent events planned in the coming months.  We will host a Parent Night on Tuesday, October 7^th to share information about the House Program and the new Safety Protocol (SRP).  We will also have the BCPS Parent mobile onsite!!!  The second evening will be on Wednesday, November 19^th before the PTA Meeting.  We will have a team from the Loyola Blakefield Cyber Program here to talk to parents about Social Media and Cyber Safety.  The team will meet with our fifth graders during the day for a student presentation on the same topic.
