    • President's Report
      • Parent breakfast: We are partnering with Pot Spring administration to host our second Parent Breakfast this Friday, at 9:30am in the cafeteria. The focus is on Reading Strategies. Mr. Fare will share a presentation and answer your questions. We’ll have breakfast items and take-home resources. An interpreter will be provided.
      • Book Fair: It was so much fun to welcome our Bluebirds back to Book Fair! It was a huge success, we sold for more than $8,000 and raised $2,093.25. Thank you to everyone who supported our school. You can still purchase online through the 17th.
      • Vacant positions: We are still looking for volunteers to help with Fundraising, Membership, Community Outreach and Landscaping. If you are interested in any of these positions, please email Mary Rose at vpvolunteerspsepta@gmail.com.
        Looking ahead, we will be in need of volunteers to take over from our current Board members. All positions except Secretary will be up for election in the spring, and it would be easier for the incoming Board members if they can start following along now. Curious?       • Last meeting took place on February 3rd, 7:30 Virtually
      • Black History Month Activities
        • School Wide contest focusing on6 Black Leaders being hosted by Ms. Alexander and Mrs. Domena. Committee will be posting on social media outlets and feature in the PTA newsletter.
          • Each leader will be featured on social media pages with a picture and short biography.
        • Read A-Loud Video
          • Share last year’s read-a-loud video.
          • If someone would like to volunteer to do a new video for this year. Let Phyllis know.
        • Virtual BHM Story Night Event
          • Parent and teacher collaboration to share a story by black authors and host a craft for the students. Craft will be to create positive affirmation cards. Event to be held February 15th at 7:30 pm. Virtual log in PSEREADS.
        • Book Raffle
          • Students can enter the raffle by emailing PTA President their favorite Black historical figure and why they chose them.
          • Books to be donated by PSE PTA.
          • Fanya O’Donoghue also donated a book about African American musicians for the giveaway.
        • Cockeysville Public Library Events
          • Hosting a virtual author visit with Jason Reynolds on 2/14, 7-8 pm. Advanced registration is required.
          • Anti-Racism Story Time 2/17 from 7-7:40
      • Virtual Resource Page
        • Sheritta Gilchrist created a virtual resource page that contains information on museum activities, virtual field trips and art/historical information that can be used by parents and teachers. This is an equity resource guide to provide museum access to all PSE community.
      • Book Study
        • The PSE DEI Committee will host a book study. There will be 3 group sessions spread over 6 weeks. We will also include Ted Talks and shorter articles for parents who are not interested in reading the whole book. Dates and more information to come.
      • PSE World Map
        • To showcase and celebrate school diversity the committee will create a world map to be displayed at the school. It will include pictures of PSE families and connect a string to their pinned location on the map.
      • Bookmark Project
        • Committee is creating bookmarks to pass out to parents to tell them about the DEI Committee.
      • Welcome Packet
        • The PSE welcome packet that showcases teachers and administration has been updated and we are working on having alternate translations available.
    • Yearbook Committee
      • Yearbook flyers will be going home with all students in the next few weeks. The deadline to order a yearbook is April 25th . The cost is $20.86.
      • We are looking for pictures from this year's school events, turkey trot, virtual nights, race for ed, fall fest, etc.
