Pot Spring is in the Central region. Within this region, elementary and middle schools are grouped geographically into "Clusters". If you select the option "Central" on the 4th page, the survey will take you through the different improvement scenarios for each Cluster. Pot Spring belongs to Central Elementary Cluster #2. Also in this cluster are: Lutherville Lab, Timonium, Padonia International, Warren, Hampton and Cromwell Valley Elementary Schools.
Recent facility assessments of the schools in this Cluster have identified:
  • $37 million in building condition repairs (such as roofs, restrooms and electrical work), and
  • $48 million in educational adequacy and equity improvements (such as science labs, physical and emotional health improvements, spaces for project based learning and support for vulnerable student populations).
Additionally, enrollment projections for 2026 project that the number of students will exceed capacity by more than 300 students across these schools, with all schools at full or exceeding capacity.
There are four scenarios currently being considered:
  • Option A: build additions to Lutherville Lab and Timonium;
  • Option B: Option A and expand the magnet program at Cromwell Valley to reach more students;
  • Option C: Consolidate Warren, Pot Spring and Timonium on 2 larger, rebuilt new sites. One of the three existing sites would be used for other educational and community purposes.
  • Option D: Option C and expand the magnet program at Cromwell Valley to reach more students.
Each of these options also entails redistricting.
