Race for Education
Race for Education is an annual jog-a-thon, which involves students walking and/or jogging around a 1/4 mile area for one hour during their normally scheduled Special class. Proceeds from this annual fundraiser are used to support PTA programs at school.
This will be our 10th annual Race for Education and we are happy to announce that proceeds from this year’s event will help support the new school-wide theater program.
The success of Race for Education is based on students submitting the names of sponsors who will contribute a tax-deductible donation to the Pot Spring PTA.However, there are no “house-to-house” or in-person sign-ups.
A Race for Education information and instruction packet will be sent home with each student. The packet will contain a label sheet which needs to be returned to the school with the mailing information of potential sponsors. The PTA will handle everything from there - including all the mailing!

This year's RACE Day is Tuesday, November 5.
Student incentives and prizes are offered to help promote the success of Race for Education and to encourage student and classroom participation.
Prizes and Awards
- Students will receive one Bluebird Buck for every five (5) names submitted by Friday, October 4.
- Each class that has 15 students submit label sheets by Friday, October 4, will be given extra recess!
- For every ten (10) names a student brings in by Friday, October 4, the student’s name will be entered into a drawing for a gift card.
- A participation ribbon will be given to all the students who participate on Tuesday, November 5.

If we reach our goal of $8,000 by RACE Day,Tuesday, November 5, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Barnes, and Mrs. Price will race around the track.
